In Europe, the lighting profession has studied specific lighting effects on sales. They tested different brightness and color temperatures of light on different characteristics of customers and products. In many cases they saw up to 10% sales increase under proper lighting conditions.

How to realize the lighting conditions / How to manage the process

Almost every electrical equipment would be installed before interior finish works. On the other hand, lighting fixtures would be located after the finish works. It means that we may have to set up the locations where the lighting fixtures should be installed before the fixtures’ arrival. And the gap between the different works are likely to have unexpected variations in architectural design due to clients’ requests or changes.

So we need to manage the design and construction process efficiently and flexibly to handle the variations so that we can get the optimal lighting condition. ELS 3D LDV is a “Visible” solution. LDV process consists of three steps. First, we build visible 3D models of the architectural space using BIM software, Revit. This parametric modeling allows us to manage architectural information more effectively and strictly. All data we review are then exported to the next step of product design to develop an optimized solution.

 Lighting calculation studies possibility of realization. In this step, we work in tandem with our lighting lab and optical design  team for the best result. They support us with the latest knowledge, technology and over 10 years experiences.

 Last but not least, 3D rendering produces realistic lighting images as well as architectural rendering images. This visualization work is very useful for both project owners and coworkers like architects or interior designers.

Customers’ requests and design variations passed to our process are quickly and simply fed back in the form of useful data. In particular, realistic images are prepared for project owners who are not familiar with lighting technology. LDV offers realistic images under the real lighting conditions. It helps all parties review the situation visually and intuitively. We can also render lighting control effects in LDV.
